Lightroom 3.5 darkens imported photos?

Hey all,

Why is it that when I view my photos pulled from the camera in Lightroom, they are all much much darker than the same photos as those from Nikon ViexNX2.

I havent done anything to the photos yet but pull them from the camera!

Is there something off with the settings in LR? What is the true image??
