Is DPR a bit Sony leaning recently?
Dec 14, 2011

I know I should not post this, it's a waste of time, but I can't help feeling that since the SLT55 was reviewed on the day it was launched, DPR has shown some preference for Sony's new cameras.

The IQ of the Nex7 is not the best among APS-C. It has more noise and worse color as ISO goes up, compared to the 5N (or the D7k or the K5). Its shadow recovery abilities are also worse at base ISO, re noise and colors, compared to the 16MP sensor. Even after resizing, as Luminous Landscape recently showed for ISO, and I and others have shown for shadow recovery.

Can its AF perform at same level of the D7000 or 60D for action, continuous? Likley not.

Well, still, Gold and all this talk of best IQ from APS-C. Ok, life goes on, DPR has its opinion, other people think differently.
