**Weekly Wildlife Thread December 11th, 2011**

I set up my tripod with EOS 50D mounted with my EF-S 60 to see whether the macro lens would be able to resolve fine feather detail. I planted a branch beside the feeder and many birds take advantage of that for making sure the coast is clear before getting into the feeder. The focus was on manual, and photos were taken with a remote control.

This Eurasian Bullfinch was the best subject captured on the first trial (mainly due to not focusing which made that most pictures were out of focus). The red wall of the garage is not the ideal background for this bird :).
