My 17" Macbook Pro (2007) just died.

While surfing DPReview all the lights went out. Won't start. Dead.
Tech guy says as I drop it of for a diagnostic: "sounds like the motherboard is kaput.
"Not worth fixing. Might as well buy a whole new computer."
I hate tech guys sometimes.
Why, Mac, why?
Never dropped you.
Never spilled coffee on you.
Always treated you reeeeal niiiice.
Oh well, at least I backed it up frequently
