SEL50F18 availability

Hi guys...
i'm in Italy and 20 days ago i've preordered the SEL50F18 on the italian sony website
it said that would be shipped in the middle of december
now i've cheched, and the av. is mid February
i've canceled my order
so i just wanted to say if it's an italian / europe problem or it's delayed in USA and other countries too?
