A77 memory card write speed

I did some test how fast my A77 can write to different types of memory cards. I have 3 card at hand:

• Sandisk Extreme 8GB Class 10 30MB/s

• Sandisk Extreme Pro 8GB UHS-1 45MB/s

• Sandisk Extreme Pro 32GB UHS-1 95MB/s

I tested with the following settings:

• FW 1.04

• M

• AF-M

• 1/60

• f2.8

• DRO off

The results were quite interesting:

• fast cards like the UHS-1 types only make sense if you shoot raw

• a class 10 card is more than enough if you only shoot jpeg
