30-110 lens build quality

I just got the 2 lens v1 kit and loving it so far. The only concern I have is the build quality of the 30-110 lens. My lens is loose and I can move the lens element (part that moves out when zooming) and barrel of the lens and there is some play there. The 10-30 is tight with no play. Is this normal for the play in my 30-110? I was a little surprised by it.
