Let me put it another way.

If you use a crappy camera and focus poorly, or compose poorly, the shots will 1) look crappy due to the camera and 2) look extra crappy due to poor photography. But the fact that the camera is bad can make even good shots look bad right off the bat, thereby giving the perception that the camera is the problem.

With the 7k, or any good DSLR I'd imagine, poor focus, poor composition, etc, will clearly be evidence of problems with the photographer moreso than the camera itself. The shots will look like they were taken from a good camera (high res, etc etc) but the lack of technique will stand out.

Take my thoughts with a grain of salt since I'm a newbie at this myself, but that my take on it.
