But what you fail to understand is that this "hardcore cine equipment" has a trickle-down effect. This technology is simply the beginnings of what eventually trickles down to consumer products. So it definitely is news. Sadly, narrow-minded, near-sighted folks such as yourself simply can't see it! It's much like so many other technological or scientific or medical developmennts ("news") that, at first, don't seem to have any relevance to the average consumer or person on the street...but that's only because some people don't have the farsightedness to understand the ramifications or potential of such developments down the road when today's "hardcore" specialty stuff becomes tomorrow's "consumer electronics".

Right- one thing about the future. Today 1920 x 1080 is totally dominating video. If you would like to see more on for example a 30 inch screen it would be 2560 x 1600. But can you see this new Canon video on any screen below 100 000 USD?
