Wrong to expect a discount?

Hi guys,

Went into Lens & Shutter today to buy the 7D and came out empty handed. When I mentioned to the guy that I'd be buying the battery grip + extra battery along with the 7D and asked for a better deal, he flat out refused.

Now, keep in mind that there already is a bonus inclusion of a 16GB 200x CF, but I just thought that getting the grip & extra battery, plus the current economic times, warranted a slightly sweeter deal.

Was I wrong?
