General rant pro vs amateur (photographers)

Definitely not aimed at anyone on this board.

It really gets my goat when pro photographers give you the benefit of their 'expertise' when they are clearly less experienced than the amateur getting the feedback.

I see it quite a bit on other discussion boards and, of course, with family too who know a pro tog and they are immediately and without judgement the superior photographer.

I do respect togs who make their money through selling their images - not easy now - but pro photographers need to have a mind for the business of selling their wares. if they are excellent photographers too, then awesome, but some are better at the business of photography than the image taking.

I hope this generates some discussion and the views will go both ways. Bring it on people
