D3s vs D3100 @ ISO3200 (unscientific test)

Hi all,

Just playing around this morning as day off from work.....after recently buying a D3100 / 18-55mm VR kit for in my car, I've been amazed by the IQ in all situations so far for just £400.

Here's a snapshot of that kit against the D3s / 28-300mm VR combo, identicle settings at ISO 3200. NOT scientific, just a real world test. Neither are PRO lenses.....but you get a ROUGH idea.

OKAY, its a small image....BUT take from this what you may .......

after pixel peeping both images all I can say is either the D3s is not as good as I thought at higher ISO's....OR...the D3100 kit is closing the gap and very good.....either way one is £430 and the other is £4300 !!! Again..take from that what you may
