Re: Kenko Pro1 D...............

Coating is not different between Kenko Pro1 D and Hoya Pro 1.
Directly from the horses mouth aka THK rep.
New filters by Hoya are different but I don't remember the name.

Well, how about if you look at the actual test results at lenstip. They are not the same. In fact the CPL have even different labels.

I am not talking about CPL or filters in general, only Pro1 D.

yes, me too, I was talking specifically only about the Hoya Pro1 Digital and the Kenko Pro1 Digital series, and specifically the UV filters.

Talk from sales people cannot be taken as evidence.

Don't know what to tell you but I was not talking about sales people either but actual THK rep at PMA. They were not selling anything because they are distributors.

Don't you think that a rep of the major and only distributor in US would know better?

You can call them, you know. I believe they are located in Long Beach California.

I use a non OEM battery in my $20,000 car so why not in my $2,000 camera.

The only time a smaller sensor with the same pixel count is superior to a larger sensor (aka higher pixel density) is when you are focal-length limited.
