Wacom?

Have used the mouse for PSCS5 and LR but since Lion OS went to the trackpad...not easy to use with those programs. Time for a Wacom table? Think so...but without spending a fortune what tablet would be advisable with PS and LR??? Entry tablets sell for $69 and more expensive are in the $1000 range. What product should I get? thanks...
