S100 or SX230

The SX230 will be replaced very soon with whatever new model it will be, the S100 is the new S95. So my dilemma is choosing which one. I like the long zoom on the 230 but don't want to get something that is fixing to be replaced. There seems to be concerns about the performance of the S100. Quite frankly I'd rather have the long zoom but also want the latest and greatest. My only other camera I'm looking at is the HX100 Sony, but it's size is a factor, it's performance is impressive. So I'm still stuck in my quest. Which one?
