Any validity in this nuclear tainted theory on gear from Asia?

Just told a buddy of mine about going for the 5D markII and the first thing he tells me is

"ya they're giving a rebate bacause they want to get rid of all the nuclear tainted stuff from the tsunami and earthquake that happened there.."

I somehow have a hard time believeing things with nuclear waste on them are coming over seas and through customs.. but then again.. look at teh drug trade.. it just gets bigger and bigger

Anyway... what say you?. sorry if its an old topic.. I dont visit here all too often these days..
