K5 goes to Vizag (pics)

Vizag ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vizag ) is on the east coast of India and has some lovely beaches. I had been to this sea port on a recent vacation and there were some interesting sights to capture. Unfortunately I was on the beaches in bad light and did not click any images there.
Here are some images:
The 'Vizagapatam Club' est.1904 is in a stage of disrepair. Unfortunately there wasn't enough space in front of the building to get a complete view of it.
Many constructions in a neighboring town Anakapalli have thatched roofs:
I regret having set the ISO a little higher than needed for this. I had been trying to freeze birds flying with the rising sun in the background but gave up and then forgot to set the ISO lower:
The Beach Road in Vizag:
There is a locality where fisher folk live and bide their time when they are not out fishing:
Dried fish:
Here was an elderly lady who was watching over her fish as they dried in the sun (which was now very low in the sky):
This scene was very strongly backlit but I did not want to lose the background. The trade off was the halo at the transition from dark to the sky behind the lady as I pushed the 'fill light' slider very far in Lightroom 2. I could have done some manual 'repair work' on this but was too lazy:
She had a nice smile and I could not help trying various crops and treatments to her image:
This was my first trip with the K5 and I was curious to see if the budget lens Sigma 70-300 would do any justice to it. I think it just managed, but then, I haven't used a 50-135mm yet!
I also used the kit lens for the first image and Sigma 10-20mm for the next two images.
Of course, the K5 has totally blown me over!
