Re: Getting Started With Silkypix - FINAL PROCESSING
In reply to Trevor G, Nov 8, 2011

I tried SilkyPix this past weekend on a raw image from the Canon 50D. It did a better job than Capture One did. But I only tried one photo as a test. (C1 is my standard raw processor).

What I couldn't find was a simple slider or pair of sliders to do what Capture One calls "Highlight Recovery" and "Shadow Recovery" (i.e., recover blown highlights or shadow details). How would I do that? (the "dynamic range expansion" tool seemed to do this, but awkwardly, and not specific to shadows OR highlights).

there was also nothing I'd call "fill flash" that some raw processors have.

I bet there is a way to do all these things. But I couldn't spot the right tools.

It could do everything else (and then some) that I do in Capture 1.
