Orbis ring

I made a search about this but the posts seem to have quite some time.

Have the guys at Orbis fixed the issue were it would fit not that well to some flash heads (i.e. SB800)?

I am specifically interested in having it work with Canon's EX550 and EX580II.

Anyone using those?

What's with the operational usage of this item...Do we really have to keep one hand busy the whole time just holding the Orbis in front of the camera !?...(...tell me it ain't so!)
