Body or lens ?

well i post couple a days ago that i have an opportunity to get d90 from usa ( for me this will cost much less than getting it from here in egypt ) but some of you suggested to get a good lens instead to work with my d40x , well i have 18-55mm kit lens & 35mm 1.8F and well i shoot indoors alot and do alot of work in my little home studio with some landscape and some architecture shoots .

i was thinking do you suggest any other lens to help me get better picture in my studio portrait work or should i go for the better body ?
