X10's optical viewfinder: can you focus and recompose?

I'm a huge fan of viewfinders and have yet to get used to using the LCD screen of a P&S for framing. So I'm excited about the potential of the optical viewfinder in the X10. I'm not expecting miracles here, but my question: I understand there is no focus indicator on the viewfinder. How are you users getting around that limitation? I assume it woule be impossible to focus and recompose if you relied exclusively on the optical viewfinder. I'd love to hear from you X10 owners in this regard - thanks!
