X100 AUTO Dynamic Range

Will not set to AUTO.
I can get 100%, 200% or 400%.
The AUTO choice does not appear active.
Is there some other FUNCTION that is blocking this?
A way to get around it?
ALSO: IN THE OPTICAL VIEWFINDER, it appears that -2 evf is set even though i have NO COMPENSATION DIALED IN. Moving the evf dial effects no change.
Comments, solutions? Please.
