Upgrade from LX5 to GX1 + 14-42X worth it?

Hi all,
ok, the GX1 isn't even officially announced, but I guess enough is already out there in form of rumors to ask this question:
I am an LX5 owner and overall happy, especially given the sensor size.
Now I am thinking, do I want to upgrade e.g. to the GX1 with the 14-42X lens?
What what that combination give me? Does anybody know how these two compare size-wise?
And also, what about IQ: I am asking because I am wondering if I use the kit lens on the GX1, i.e. the 14-42X, which is roughly 1.5 stops slower than the lens of the LX5, would I gain much in terms of IQ? (OK, I could mount different lenses, but to start with, I'd be using the 14-42X for a good while...)
I guess the video is probably better resolution-wise, though I am mostly a stills shooter, I do videos of family stuff, but that's more for memories in a few years, not for artisitic merit.
I know about the touch screen, but that wouldn't be a reason alone to upgrade.
Any thoughts on this upgrade, anybody in a similar situation?
Thanks all in advance!
Cheers,
Pablo
