Choosing RAW vs speed with FZ150
Oct 30, 2011

Since I got the cam, I have been using RAW and JPeg fine..

I tried also RAW alone, but I actually do not see a big difference between RAW and JPeg when looking at the fotos. I used LR3.5 with JPeg when necessary and did a good job too.

Now I changed my Transcend class 10 card with the Sandisk Pro USH-I... but there is no difference in speed. (another thread is alive about it in the forum).

Issue is that the cam in burting mode, but also in normal 1- click shots, is buffering a bit slowly.

If I shoot JPeg alone, burst 2,2 AF in JPeg is pretty good... I can take lots of pics in a row, before the cam buffer them.

In RAW, it buffers pretty soon, even though it's still ok for a "bridge".

So I am tempted to drop RAW and keep shooting JPeg only.
What do you guys think about it?
