Fujifilm Finepix 'I' series: compact, 6MP superCCD sensor, F/1.0
Oct 24, 2011

Ok, this Fujifilm 'I' series line only exists in my imagination.

It started with Panasonic LX-3's F/2.0.
Canon followed through with the S90's F/2.0.
Olympus set the bar higher with the XZ-1's F/1.8

Can Fuji come up with a compact with an F/1.4 or better yet, an F/1.0 lens?
The old 6 megapixel SuperCCD sensor will do it for me since it really had
very good ISO 1600. (The ISO 3200 was garbage.)

I'll be willing to sacrifice a fixed focal length 35mm (equiv) lens
for compactness so long as it has an F/1.4 or better yet, an
F/1.0 lens.

Is this at all possible in a compact with a small sensor no bigger than the 6 megapixel superCCD sensor of the F30 (that way, it would truly remain 'compact' like the F30)?

Who of you would like a compact camera no bigger than a Fuji F30/F31fd or a Canon S90/S95 but with a wide maximum aperture F/1.0 or F/1.4 lens and very good ISO 1600 like the legendary F30/F31fd with 6 megapixels?
