Birding with Canon Superzooms
Oct 24, 2011

Hi all,

We are seeing a lot of impressive SX40 birding and wildlife images here, and encouraged that so many of you are getting such good results with the new model already. Canon has done a good job with noise control on the new sensor throughout the sensitivity range, and base ISOs apparently suffer much less from NR smearing than the earlier CMOS offerings from Sony and Fuji. Want to say thanks to Tony, Vince, Roy, Steph, and all who've shared their SX40 images here so far... and encourage you all to keep 'em coming.

Owning 4 superzooms already, we won't likely choose another soon... but here are some of our latest efforts with the SX30...

We hope you enjoy these, ...and keep posting those SX40 birds.
