[NX] Help with noise reduction with Raw > ISO 800

I've seen many Raw above ISO 800, on this forum, that converted to jpg were looking gorgeous.

I use lightroom; other than increasing noise reduction, which kind of processing do you do to get such nice results? In my shots, the noise in the shadows is quite high, especially if I increase "fill lights" to reduce dark areas.

Any advice will be more than welcome.
