Alternative to 70-300 L

OK so I've have the money to buy the Canon EF 70-300 f/4-5.6L IS USM, the problem I have with it is the colour.

I'm not a professional and I don't want something so conspicuous. So what can I buy that will give me the same reach and image quality, but in black?
