Would you say theres a benefit from going from DPP to LR?

There's definitely a benefit in terms flexibility of editing and usability (though there's a bit of a learning curve at first, of course). There's a benefit in quality of the end results too, in my opinion. I think most people would agree, although this is more subjective.

Whats your experience with Vegas - easy to use, but quality output? Do you need the pro version of is the Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 Visual Effects Suite enough?

The output from Vegas is beautiful quality HD, I don't think you'll have any complaints in that department.

I use Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 myself, and it has every feature I've ever needed, and many more besides. I think the added features of the Pro version are only likely to ever be used by true professionals in the field. There's a useful check-list of the features in each version here: -

Thanks! I have seen the result possible and had a go with the trial - 90% sure im going for the Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 Visual Effects Suite
