I concur. A technical post on what DR is, how it is measured, and what it is useful for could only be considered "controversial" in 1022.

I didn't follow the discussion on the Canon forum about the Canon vs. D7000, but yes, my experience is that such discussion is regarded as "controversial" or pathetic only on this forum. I mean really, what would have happened if you took an Oly camera and compared with the D7000 instead of a Canon, which everyone knows you like... Do you think it would have been less "controversial" here? I don't think so. It seems that some people on this forum are not really interested in technical discussions unless it is definitely in favour of Olympus.
