Why m4/3 will dominate in the future
Oct 18, 2011

I used to think that Nikon or Canon would come out with their own mirrorless system that would blow 4/3 out of the water.

But seeing what Nikon came out with, now I changed my mind. Nikon and Canon don't get it because like many big companies, as long as they are making lots of money doing what they are doing, they have little motive to be innovative.

m4/3 is now looking like an established system with a whole variety of lenses from ultra wide angle to extreme telephoto and there are fast prime lenses. This makes it very hard for a new entrant to compete against that. By the time Canikon finally wakes up to the fact that mirrors are 20th century technology, it will be too late for them.
