Did any HX100V owners consider the SX40?

I need to hear from HX100V owners and users who may have considered the Canon SX40 HS camera as well. Did you have a chance to experience the Canon before deciding on the Sony? Why did you choose the Sony over the Canon? I'm sampling the Sony as we speak, and seem happy with it. But before giving up my 15 day return period, I'd like to know a little about the SX40 (which I can not personally get my hands on locally). Thanks.
