Blue Haze - Help
Oct 17, 2011

Hi All. I have a Canon 60D and regularly shoot with a Sigma 17-70 zoom lens. I have noticed a lot of my pictures, particularly when shooting out of the sun, have a blue tinge to them. This is easily removed in PP but I was wondering if anybody could give some advice what is causing it. I have attached an unprocessed picture. There was a lot of blue haze in the distance, in the air when this was taken but I if you look at the rock, it does look slightly blue. It was taken on a 60D with the Sigma lens. I shot in raw and AV and used a Landscape picture style. White Balance was set to AWB. Is it just the fact that the light is cooler? Is that why it show a hint of blue. Thanks
