fz 150 raw images in silk pix bad picture quality

The test pictures Ive been shooting with fz 150 I got from amazon last week Ive been very happy with the jpeg pictures getting excellent results . But the raw images viewed thought silks pics really look god awful bad and using silk pics to adjust and convert the raw images if anything makes them look worse to the point it not worth shoot raw with this camera. I have used my friends LX5 shooting in raw+jpeg with very good results using silk pics for raw post processing. But with fz 150 the raw files really look bad. I been thinking of getting adobe photoshop elements . But I is it worth it ? Has anyone worked the fz 150 raw files in elements and got good results?
