NEX 5N protection

The reason I bought the 5N is so that I can bring a camera around with less bulk than a DSLR but with the same image quality
I am planning on carrying my NEX 5N around in my backpack, but I'm worried that some "rocking movement" (me walking around and sometimes maybe jumping) can affect the NEX 5N's performance
my question is, is it safe to put my camera in a backpack while I move around (not counting that I bump it into a wall), just rocking around, walking, etc
