D700 or 24-70mm?

I'm trying to decide between buying a 24-70mm and using it on my D200 until I get an FX body or just buying the D700 and using my existing lenses. I currently have a Nikon 20-35mm 2.8 AF-D, 50mm 1.8 AF-D and a 70-200mm 2.8 AF-S VR. If I get the 24-70mm I'll sell the 20-35mm. What do you guys think?
