Portrait lens suggestion
Oct 3, 2011
|
Currently I have 15-85, 70-200 2.8 Non IS, 100mm 2.8 L IS with the 7D. Occasionally, I shoot portraits. Now I am thinking to take portrait photography seriously. From the reviews, I think Sigma 50mm f1.4 is a very good portrait lens and within my budget. Now my question is, what are the qualities that I can get from this lens compared to my existing lens collection? Is the very thin DOF at f=1.4 usable for a half body portrait?
Please suggest.
TIA
