Faith in Filters no more!

Photo on the left is with filter, photo on the right without. Anyone want to guess the filter? Did it cost $30, $50, possibly $70??

I'll tell you. It was a b+w 77mm Slim UV Haze 010 MRC. A quick search on bhphoto shows that this filter cost me $115!!! I was having constant flare trouble shooting weddings, so much so that the primary commented on the images. Apparently filters aren't the way to go on long lenses.

Yes I know these are shot into the sun, but there are times when you HAVE to shoot into the sun. It's not worth sacrificing that image quality, whenever it may happen, so that I can have this dinky piece of glass "protecting" the lens the rest of the time.

Don't pay this much, folks.
