Who cares about RAW on the A77 anyway?

Ok I know this will cause a few heated debates, but how vital is RAW when JPEGS are so good out of the A77?

I recently went on a Canon course who swear by JPEGS for a number of reasons.

I guess it's like MP3 v CD' s on music, if your are a purist it's going to be CD but MP3 is far more convenient.

Now I know there is a lot more latitude on RAW but the quality of the out of camera JPEGS are so good is there really a need for RAW?

Don't get me wrong I have used RAW a lot when I had my Canon 5d mk2 but that's when I needed to drag everything out of it!

As a A77 user how much do you think you will use RAW (when good converter available) and why?

Ian
