CS5 upgrade on new iMac
Sep 23, 2011

I received a new iMac with OS 10.7 pre-installed today. I have been a PS user on an old eMac for several years running CS2. I bought an upgrade to CS5 for the iMac and just tried to install it. Nothing happens. No icons, etc on the desktop. There is no attempt by the computer to load the software. I assumed I would be able to install the upgrade by simply typing in the serial number from my CS2 disc somewhere.

Is the new iMac looking for an old version of PS before it lets me continue the upgrade? Am I up the creek w/o a paddle? I was hoping to spend $200 for the upgrade instead of
$$$$$$ for a new version.
Any suggestions or help.
Thanks
