Canon, you're our only hope...

The mirrorless camera systems. Panasonic. Olympus. Sony. Samsung. Pentax. Nikon. Everyone else has thrown their hat into the ring, except for Canon. What does this mean?
It means that Canon is the one, last hope for those of us dreaming of a reasonably priced and compact 35mm full frame mirrorless system. If Canon goes small like Nikon, then the 35mm FF mirrorless system will forever be a niche product for the extravagantly rich (i.e. Leica).
I'm not holding my breath on this one...
