For Programmmers: The Death discussion of .NET and the E-System

almost the same discussions as with
Olympus, DSLRs ( E-System ) and Micro4/3 ( Mirrorless ) happens now

with .NET ( Silverlight, WPF, ... ) and the future WinRT ( "Metro Style" ) software programming.

There was much speculation and now a conference where some future was revealed.

somehow funny - I dont take "death of systems" discussions to serious, but it has some impact for my plans.

Whats also similar to m4/3 versus 4/3 is that the old and new programming scheme is quite similar, only some parts changed, and its not anymore called .NET, but that does not mean that .NET is dead, but perhaps somehow partly frozen.
