D3s, freezes after photo is taken & won't turn off when switched off.

Anyone else had this problem where the camera just stops and the green memory card transfer light just stays on? Sometimes it works faultlessly and other times it just locks up solid The only way to unlock it is to take out the battery and put it back in after switching the camera off. Never had a problem before purchase it 5months ago. Using 2 sandisk CF cards, extreme 4 16gig & extreme 3 4gig.
