SLT vs. NEX Autofocus Question

Could I please obtain the following input, regarding autofocus differences between SLT and NEX cameras - for instance, if you're comparing A77 autofocus to NEX 7, is it just PDAF vs CDAF? Also talk about autofocus tracking in video mode, and speed of autofocus in stills. Also mention autofocus points and area on the sensor, and how much better one is vs. the other in speed and accuracy - and ultimately let me know for all around use for stills and video - which is better if ergonomics of the camera body and lens choices are not a factor.
