SAL-1680Z vs new 16-50mm

How does the Zeiss 16-80mm compare to the new a77 kit lens (SAL-1650) ?

Beside the obvious advantages of the Zeiss's better zoom capability and the 1650 being slightly faster, can anyone comment on the actual IQ -- or know where I might find a comparison or something?

Also....Kinda stupid I know, but have the a77 and a65 officially released? ie, for purchase? Or are they just "launched"?

Been getting some conflicting reports on this....
