Sony a65 should help drive down GH2 price
Sep 10, 2011

The sleeper of Sony's recent releases, the a65, is $999 with a well tested 18-55. At $999 it doesn't look like Panasonic can maintain its current pricing. Add to this the G3's IQ and price, unless you are a video shooter the GH3 is is starting to look the it doesn't belong in the conversation of great cameras for $999.
Of course, the Sony 5n may be the best value of all if you don't want to add an evf for $350.
I wouldn't mind buying a discounted GH2-somewhere other than Panasonic Direct. I see it coming. Competition is good and let's hope it drives Panasonic, king of the m43, to make further developments and better pricing on bodies to go with the great lens selection.
