X10 lens potential crippled by OVF?

To me, the joy of a manual zoom is quickly framing and composing the shot without steps. My old film SLR allowed me to compose essentially the whole frame too.
If the OVF is only 85% coverage it seems that I would be only framing and composing 85% of what the sensor "sees", so the outer 15% may or may not be something I want to keep. So, while the manual zoom may be quick and step-less, framing and composing the whole sensor image must still be done with the LCD.
I realize this is a fine point and perhaps I should be satisfied with the 10 MP that I can see in the OVF. Still, with the moderate zoom range of the X10 lens, the emphasis seems to be on framing rather than just zooming in. So I wish coverage was closer to 100%.
