Love my 600D (T3i)
That is because you are thinking DSLR video as Vidcam video, and is not. DSLR video is more comparable to filmmaking than vidcam shooting. Just watch a movie, any movie and what do you see? Shallow depth of field, no zooming (unless is a special effect), selective focus but NOT continuous focus, etc.
If you are looking for a camera that "behaves" like a vidcam, get a vidcam.
Is the video much better than the T2i?
Is it better than the T2i with magic lantern?
Because I find video with the T2i sheer frustation. I've been thinking of selling the thing for something else. I find your post interesting because for that something elese I've never considered the T3i (more of the same, we can't figure out video AF even though we make video cameras, canon bs).
