D3100 or D90?

I am considering the above two cameras and although it seems to me that the D3100 has better specifications, I wonder if the D90 would still be a better choice. I like the fact the D90 seems to have more manual controls, but I think D3100 would probably be easier to carry around. I am also interested in how the two cameras compare in low light situations and which camera would have a bigger problem with noise. I am also thinking about movie quality on both cameras because this is something I would be using often. I could get the D3100 with the 18-55 VR and 55-200 VR lenses and some extra accessories (second battery, original case) for less than the price of the D90 with the 18-105 VR lens.
