My bold prediction for the future -- polarization sensors
Sep 1, 2011

By "polarization sensors" I mean sensors that are capable of recording the light waves' polarization info. With software, you will then be able to "apply" a polarizer in post-processing.

This will eliminate the need for a polization filter. As we know, any filter, no matter how well made it is, will degrade the image quality. I think this would be a great feature and quite do-able -- I mean all the information is there reaching the sensor, we just need to technology to "digest" this information.
